~5 hours, really ~4 hours 40 minutes. Anime episodes are 20 minutes each, give or take a minute. That's assuming they did a marathon with no breaks in between episodes, and that they didn't watch the end credits every single time (though it does count for some of the opening).

Actually, most episodes are closer to 23 minutes. If you count potty and food breaks, that amounts to somewhere between 6.5 and 7 hours for 14 episodes. I've done enough marathons to know you can't go instantly from one episode to the next all day long. There are some breaks in there. Though as you say, if they skipped the credits it would probably cut some time off.

I've only ever done that with Dr. Who, and it seemed to work ok for pretty extended periods of time.
