And no, I  haven't, my writing is limited to Original Works and Star Trek.

Absent any word from Jeph on the subject, I'd discourage posting fanfic here, on the grounds that being creative with Jeph's characters is Jeph's sole privilege.

Ah, but does a 'fic have to include Jeph's characters to be QC-ish?
Anthro-PCs, orbital weapons platforms, USDoKYA, the mysterious singularity, and all the rest are all ripe for the proverbial picking without involving any of the main cast, even as cameos.

I concur.  

At times the existence of the Fanart thread has also made me uneasy; but that was set up originally with the intention that Jeph would take what he liked from it to build a fanart page on the comic site.  However, that never happened.  So it remains, with the understanding that it will be moderated according to the rules of the rest of the forum.
