Yeah, I mean, Alvin And The Chipmunks, for instance, is not a fantastic show. Neither is what I've seen of the Smurfs. Turning either into a masterpiece would be hard.

Yeah, some of those old cartoons really just run on nostalgia factor and are certainly not enjoyable at all anymore. 

Now Scooby-Doo, for those first two series at least, are still awesome and I still watch them.
