LunchBagArt:
Holy cow, I forgot that I used to do what Marigold is doing here. It seemed perfectly reasonable at the time, too.
This is a very good strip! I submit to you that Mr. Jeph has Been There.
snubnose:
I expected Marigold to look ... better.
And why does Hanners drink wine and Faye doesnt drink anything at all ?
AngryCallCenterAgent:
Dora's the designated mother hen for the night. Hanners is there to support Marigold, and Faye's being Faye. Which means Marten's dead meat, as usual.
Wednesday strip has been marinated in awesomesauce and topped with epic win.
Manix:
Mother Hen is a good descritpion for Dora. i tend to look at her and Marten as Husband and wife, while Faye and Hanners are there daughters, all in a symbolic sense of course.
UFOs8MyCat:
This comic reminds me of a bar in Vegas, just off Fremont St... Downtown Cocktail Room (or just "Downtown" cause that's all the sign says). There's an alcove in the wall face underneath the sign, but it looks like it's just walls on either side and a pane of mirrored glass in the middle... like so: |_________| Turns out one of the walls is a door that you push open. And the funniest part is it's SUPER dark in there and the mirrored glass is really a one-way window/mirror so you can watch people trying to figure out where the door is. The bathrooms are worse. The stall walls are one-way mirrors with no handles, so you have to figure out which mirror is the door... while you're inside doing your business, you can see right out into the main part of the bathroom... it's extremely disorienting especially when someone else comes in the bathroom. You can see them but they can't see you. Unless you're checking your cell phone while doing your business... any source of light and you're exposed.
