i am a big fan of the last panel in tonight's comic. ^^ especially the ripply burp effect.
and faye is being a lot nicer this comic, probably due to copious amounts of alcohol (hence the bubbles around their heads).

I really don't get the point of burping names.

it's fun, i guess. i never really burp words on purpose, but if i happen to have a burp while i'm talking i usually don't stop.

Faye's sort of the opposite of a mean drunk: she's mean when she's sober.
Should she be getting drunk, though? She could lapse back into having a Problem.
"Mar-mar" would be a fun nickname, foreshadowed by the Dora/Marten dialog consisting entirely of saying just that.
Name-burping has also come up before, with Faye having trouble burping "Whitaker".
