CSI apes every bit of culture or counterculture it can get its grubby little hands on. I swear to God if you hear a hiphop song or see a thugly young black man in the beginning sequence prepare to hear a lot of terrible slang and bad rap music. It's like Dragnet for a new generation sometimes, honestly.

The best worst BEST part of that episode was the gladiator kombat.
NOTE: I did not actually watch that episode so I don't know why there was a gladiator scene, I just know that there was a gladiator scene. Also some ridiculous tension where the main guy was like LOGOUT NOW and the dude on the computer was like IM HURRYING I CANT YET
