amok:
Giggs was awesome before some of our players were even born. Ridiculous.

BeoPuppy:
So ... Mr. Alex C. .... excited?

Alex C:
A li'l bit, yeah. As long as the Vikings have a talented team it should be fun to watch. Still, I always thought the Packers were going to be pretty damn good last year and other than their offensive line, they were. I even felt kinda dirty since Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings and Donald Driver were starters on my fantasy team for most of the year. I don't see much reason why they should be worse this year, so it's not like I think the Vikings are an automatic lock for a high seed again since splitting the series with Green Bay hits me as pretty plausible.

As far as the Favre saga goes, I'm not as annoyed by it as a lot of people are, but as a huge football nerd it kinda sucks since there's been pretty much no news out of the camps other than "We really hope he will be back."

scarred:
I just hope his ankle doesn't give out. The vikes have their bye real early, and that's before they fight the Packers twice, Dallas, New England, and NYG. Not to mention the fact that since GB's looking so strong, they'll be fighting tooth and nail to get out of a wild card spot. That's a lot of consecutive weeks on a flimsy ankle, so unless they can protect him really well (he was sacked 34 times last year) I'd be more than a little anxious.

If he does stay healthy though I'll be rooting for ya'll the entire way, if any fandom deserves a Super Bowl it's the vikes.

At the same time, this means the Bears are for sure in 3rd again, damn it. I would've liked to see a winning record at least, but 8-8 and the firing of Lovie Smith might have to do in terms of healthy optimism.

Alex C:
I'd feel a helluva lot more comfortable coming into the season if everyone was talking about how healthy the Vikings are but that's pretty much the opposite of what has happened. When Chad Clifton got healthy the Packers o-line went from shit terrible to sorta OK and they grabbed a guy who can play both guard and tackle in the draft. And the Vikings wouldn't have beat them twice last year if Jared Allen and Ray Edwards weren't basically stealing Aaron Rodger's lunch money. I guess we'll see.
