Did we expect the pats to have a hard time ... no.
Did we look forward to english people trying to make US football understandable to their audience ... yes.
There is something fundamentally wrong and funny about watching a US football game with RP english commentary.
Inlander:
Oh hey, apparently QPR are into 6th place in the Championship now, only four points off the pace and with a game in hand over everyone else. Cool!
Shame about who's in the boardroom these days, but hey, could be worse.

45 - 10, Bears? Really? Really? Ugh. It wasn't broadcast in my area but I caught gamebreaks occasionally and after the fourth or fifth one I stopped screaming and just took the standard Chicago sports fan pose of shaking my head in shame.
BeoPuppy:
Yeah, that one surprised me a bit. I'd sort of expected the bears to knock off the bengals.
Bit of a shame that. I don't like those Tiggrs.
Bastardous Bassist:
I'm going to say something that will surprise most of you. Last night's Skins/Eagles game actually gave me a little bit of hope. Aside from some really huge fuck-ups (monumentally huge), we actually looked pretty damned good. He just missed snaps, threw a stupid pass, decided that we didn't like holding onto the football while running and muffed a punt. All you have to do is remove a couple of those plays and it would have been a football game. Going into a bye week, I'm actually fairly confident that we can get something going, as long as Daniel Snyder doesn't get antsy and start firing people. Also, Cooley being out is big, because our backup is completely and totally unable to block.
