Now, we wait for the awards.
And then we start it up all over again.
The Seldom Killer:
For anyone interested in cycling, the final stage of the Criterium du Dauphine could prove very interesting today.
Short version is that Chris Froome won the opening stage of the race an held his lead even though he crashed on Friday. On Saturday, with a Summit finish, Contador attacked on the last climb and overturned a 12 second deficit to an 8 second lead. The final stage today has a double climb to a summit finish which is totally within Froome's abilities to take the race back from Contador. If he's recovered enough from his injuries.
ev4n:
Sounds like the final stage WAS one for the ages. Did not get to watch, as I was out of town, but my mother in law and I discussed it yesterday.
The Seldom Killer:
Yep, looks like Froome was more injured than thought and a lot of the GC didn't pay attention to the long attack. They get away with this every now and again but it will have implications for the TdF.
