That's the thing about all the North American major leagues, with 30 teams each, that means the average time between championships is 30 years. Even with random distribution of championships, a drought of 60+ years wouldn't be unusual. Add in the fact that some franchises are richer and better organized, and you'll get LOTS of teams rivaling or surpassing the Cubs eventually.

(Psst... The NFL has 32 teams. Technically there are 122 teams between the " big four" team sports in NA.)

And what does that have to do with a 32-year-old's sudden realization that he was conceived in the parking lot at Nassau Colosseum?

I didn't watch the video, but the framing of the story made it sound like he was conceived the last time they won a championship? It's a common enough trope in sports reporting that I had a reasonably decent chance in being right without watching or looking the team's history up.

And re: 32 NFL teams, I was talking in round numbers, so your correction is irrelephant.  :clairedoge:
