--- Quote from: scarred on 04 Mar 2010, 22:12 ---This is actually the first time I've paid attention to free agency but it's actually pretty exciting! Julius Peppers and Chester Taylor, both talking to Chicago. The Jets picked up Cromartie, and now have arguably the best two corners in the league. Thomas Jones, Brian Westbrook, and the rotting husks of LT and Jake Delhomme are all released. weeee

Too bad you picked one of the goofiest years to get interested in it. There's weird issues with the collective bargaining agreement, so a bunch of guys who would normally qualify for unrestricted free agent status are instead restricted free agents, which means most of the best young talent is effectively off limits this year. Boo.

McTaggart:
Both of my teams have byes this week and it suuuuuuucks. My old Pretoria team the Bulls and my relatively new Perth team the Force are both not playing. Sport sucks this weekend.

Alex C:
Also, the Panthers are really, really lucky they can ditch Delhomme during an uncapped year. His contract would have been an anchor around their necks for the next few years otherwise.

That said, I find the Delhomme thing a li'l depressing. I'm not really a fan of seeing people fail, and it's kinda sad because everything seems to indicate that he's a pretty nice guy, so it kinda sucks to see his career go down in flames like that-- Nobody really gets a spotlight put on 'em like a struggling QB. At least he's well compensated, I guess.

scarred:
Yeah, I feel a little bad for him, mostly because no matter how serious the injury it always takes a while to bounce back from one, and he did use to be a good QB. Then again, he is still making millions of dollars, so... meh.

scarred:
YEAH WE GOT PEPPERS! Hopefully he doesn't turn out to be a dud like the corpse of Orlando Pace.
