I'm not really sure how much losing Boldin actually hurts them. Fitzgerald's numbers go up when he's a bigger part of the offense and Steve Breaston broke a thousand yards last year. Boldin's obviously an asset, but it's not like they were ever really likely to repeat the 1,000 yards to 3 receivers thing even with Warner, much less a new starter. I could still see imagine them hitting 9 or 10 wins with a more traditional offense and a healthy Beanie Wells.

Aye, that was some game. I know AC Milan don't consist of up and coming players, but they are 2nd in Serie A and Man Utd. succeeded in making them look really, really average. That first goal (peach of a pass from Neville..) just knocked all the wind out their sails and from there on in it was plain sailing for Man Utd.
Nice to see Beckham getting a bit teary-eyed when he came on the pitch, lovely reception as well. Y'know, befor ethey started booing him everytime he got on the ball.
Also, LOL @ Real Madrid.

Ya know, for the record, I don't really have a problem with what Derek Anderson said about Browns fans. Perhaps it's a bit hasty to equate all of the fanbase with those people who cheered when his knee got blown out, but frankly, the people who DID cheer about it earned some disparagement and they know who they are.

Back on the rugby front, the RBS 6 Nations is in its penultimate week and France are leading the pack with England, Ireland, Wales, Italy and Scotland behind them in that order.
Ireland are about to play Wales at home in what is usually one of the most exciting fixtures of the tournament, not to mention a fortnight ago John Hayes got his 100th cap and today Brian O'Driscoll celebrates his! That is a long time to play international rugby. I'll update later with the result!
EDIT: So, Ireland beat Wales with a convincing score of 27-12, mainly through lack of organization in the defense from Wales and Ireland using that through their set pieces. Some poor discipline on either side, Ireland had several warnings from the ref who appeared to be a stickler for tacklers not rolling away in the break down, but it was mainly the Welsh failure to make any of their massive possession and territory advantages count, and the 12 points they got were from penalties. Ireland could have chalked up at least another 10 points but for Johnathan Sextons failure to convert any of the tries and missing more than one penalty himself, IMO its too early to be benching O'Gara to give Sexton test match experience when he fails to kick so many points.
England drew with Scotland 15 all, which is yet another disappointing result for them against a team who were heading well on their way to picking up the wooden spoon this year, I can't really give much detail on the game because I actually only watched the first half, suffice to say it was essentially a penalty shoot out and if England carry on this way their World Cup hopes are looking to be dash against the rocks.
Italy v France today, a match that at the beginning of the championship would have been a forgone conclusion until Italy decided to make some radical changes to the rugby they play, coming very close on the heels of England 3 weeks ago then beating Scotland a fortnight ago.
Hope that I've provided a bit of insight for anybody interested in rugby union without just rambling on!
