Also, I've decided to start following baseball as the season starts in 12 days and I've been kind of interested in it since before ESPN started charging for it's televisual services. My Pittsburgh Pirates following friend suggested them, but I've gone for the Milwaukee Brewers since I like beer and also when they play each other we can have good natured sporting banter.
I'd like to point out that I have, at best, a rudimentary understanding of the rules of baseball but figured that if I can pick up test cricket watching the Ashes then I can pick up baseball. Amirite?
