Well, all I can say is that online gaming's come a long way from ye olde MUDD, when most female characters turned out to be played by hormone-crazed teen-aged boys. Okay, the 'hormone-crazed' part is an assumption, but not a wholly invalid one.

I concur, madness. All the intelligence in the world cannot necessary help one in social situations. For that, the conventions behind such would have to make sense. I, for one, have rarely found this to be the case.

It's also the running gag on Bones, so I must be right.

What the hell is it with people thinking Marigold is ugly? I think she's very pretty. I've said before that her face is my favorite of all the characters. She's got a great face and she's curvy. She isn't the least bit ugly.

I was wondering this too. Marigold may not be in the blonde bombshell/sulty brunette/sexy redhead imagery that mainstream culture tells us is "the only pretty", but that doesn't mean that real people (i.e. people not in show biz/marketing) wouldn't find her to be pretty. It's entirely possible Angus actually does think she's pretty, which leads me to this...

--- Quote from: Kartoon Kween on 28 Sep 2009, 06:54 ---Anyway, Angus is STILL a liar.

Someone else said this too, in this thread, I think. Why is Angus a liar? I don't understand.

woot Bones ftw

But seriously, if I were Marigold, Angus' comment would make me more upset, not help.

Kartoon Kween:
Marigold isn't pretty because she has bad skin.  Perhaps some people think that zits are pretty.  I am not one of these people.

Her skin might get better in the future.  She might get in shape. She might do something with her hair.  But as she is right now, she is not pretty.  She's not hideous, but she's definitely not beautiful.

Frankly, I don't think there's anything wrong with being a regular looking person. :/  The world is filled with them.

wannabeindiesloane:
surely now we need a make-over story line. introducing another rather pretty girl into the mix. Raven attacks Marigold... would be a fearsome thing to behold.
