Hat:

--- Quote from: Hat on 29 Sep 2009, 17:50 ---I mean I may have implied anyone who voted for Daft Punk over the Avalanches suffered from some kind of brain damage but at least that is ridiculous enough to definitively be a joke, whereas you have implied that people who voted for Kid A might just be lazy which I think is kind of insulting.

sorry edited this in to address what you just said while you were obviously typing that post proving once and for all that I am a motherfuckin' psychic

--- Quote from: Joseph on 29 Sep 2009, 17:52 ---I think you are misinterpreting the seriousness of my initial statement.

Man if it wasn't serious what was with this whole post

--- Quote from: Joseph on 29 Sep 2009, 14:53 ---Because basically everyone has heard Kid A, if they are interested in modern alternative music.  Things We Lost in the Fire is a much less popular album, generally, and I would be much less likely to assume that someone had listened to it.  If the person was a regular on this forum, given how much Low is touted here, I'd expect them to be familiar with the record.  However, many people voting here have low post counts, and I know absolutely nothing about them.  The people with lower post counts in this thread seem to be voting for Radiohead more frequently than people with higher post counts.  I can only hope, if they are voting for Radiohead, that they have at least given the other album a chance.

I am not sure I get how this fits into the joke

then again I didn't get the first joke either so maybe you are just way too clever for me.

Retrospectre:
Hating on Radiohead is pretty played out.

Kid A
Sound Of Silver

Lift Yr Skinny Fists…
Funeral

Liz:
I am still sad that Okkervil River got knocked out. F that noise. I would protest the tournament but I just really really really want Low to win over Radiohead.

I do not think they are a bad band at all, I am not saying that. They're good and they deserve praise, but they're not as good as everyone makes them out to be. Maybe my expectations were too high when I first heard them, but I've really just always been underwhelmed by Radiohead.
