From what I read, Dreamkiller seems like it tried to be the movie The Cell only Jennifer Lopez has guns.

Painkiller was so kickass, though. Juggling baddies with the titular weapon while they vomited forth golden relics, Fighting enemies who are so large that you can barely make out their heads, Earning those damned cards.

But Overdose... The carnival level. GOD DAMN the carnival level.
