I appreciate a forum that calls it "modern concert music" rather than "modern classical music" also.

Be My Head:
"Modern and/or contemporary western art music" is the correct terminology actually.

Bastardous Bassist:
I actually heard both from professors when I was in school.  Predominantly, I actually heard the concert music one.
