Finally beating *that* game....

Me, too.  I stopped playing because I had to go do something, and then I just had absolutely no desire to ever play it again.

Incidentally, it took me forever to finish Fallout 2, because I somehow lost my save games very close to the end (I think I had found all the stuff to make the boat go, and I was just finishing up a few things) and I didn't want to put in all of the work again.  I ended up doing so and it was totally worth it.

didn't that game have a part in it that was almost completely impossible to beat?

StaedlerMars:
I'm going through a shit load of trouble right now to be able to play baldur's gate 2 on my mac. I finished the game, but I never finished throne of bhaal. So yeah. That needs to happen some time.

maxusy3k:
Weirdly I realised a couple days ago I never completed either of the Baldur's Gate games, so I've re-installed them and playing through again... seems to be a common theme.

Aside from that nothing really springs to mind. There are some games I started - Fallout 3 springs to mind - but just couldn't maintain interest long enough to see through. I don't really class it as not finishing since I didn't even really get started. I didn't finish Gears of War but that's because the first time I played it, I played it co-op and we cleared about 50, maybe 75% of the content before we gave it a rest. Never been able to really fire it up single player.

LTK:
I see there's a lot of "I didn't finish X because I didn't want to" and not much of "I didn't finish game X because it was impossible". Maybe games are too easy these days.

Anyway, to jump on the bandwagon of "it was boring and dumb": Red Faction: Guerrilla.
