I'm thinking about it. Actually there's a high-res mod for Torment that I've been meaning to try out.

It's amazing how all of the old isometric RPGs still look so good - with the high res mod some of the settings still wow me, and I've played most of the games a ridiculous number of times.

I'm no Luddite or hater of 3d in general, but I do find it somewhat bittersweet that so many people preferred 3d graphics in the mid-to-late '90s. I'll grant you there was some gameplay advantages for certain genres, but I often felt like I was in the minority for preferring the looks of a well put together 2d title like Chronotrigger over say, Battle Arena Toshinden:
On the bright side, it's easy to feel somewhat vindicated now that games like Yoshi's Island and the early Marvel vs. Capcom titles have aged so much better than their contemporaries.
