Definitely a student/master relationship that's developing. 

It worries me that Angus is the master here, his social skills need some work, too.  Not nearly as much as Marigolds, but still...

As foir the haircut, you can see her face.  It's a psychological improvement, she's not hiding anymore! 

Makes it harder to hide the blushing...

I think she should've gone for the classic "Your Mom should wash more than twice a year!"

By definition, "your mom" lines don't need a "if you know what I mean".  It's like fortune cookies.
