Treme! From the creators of the Wire

There's a new teaser out! And it doesn't tell us much of anything.
Here are the things that we know!
- It is premiering in April.
- It is primarily about Jazz musicians in the Treme district of Nyoleans, which is famous for its musically-oriented residents.
Here are some names in the cast:
- Bunk from the Wire! (that's motherfucking Wendell Pierce, motherfucker)
- Steve motherfucking Zahn!
- Melissa motherfucking Leo! (Kay Howard from Homicide bitchess)
- WALTER FUCKING SOBCHAK
- The lesbian madame from Deadwood!
- A whole lot of Nyoleans natives
It's your new favorite show!

I'm looking forward to seeing something with Melissa Leo in it again, she was great in Homicide. Basically, there is very little chance this won't be excellent.

I've been looking forward to this for so long, I can't tell you. That teaser trailer doesn't tell you anything - but it does establish the look of the show, and it looks just as good as anything you'd expect from Simon & Burns. Incidentally, Wendell Pierce is a New Orleans native.

I've never watched the wire, but the idea of a new HBO show is extremely appealing.
