Only a few months comic time.  Maybe a year and a half or so? 

But the shifting realism of the drawings of these people doesn't necessarily mean there's a physical change.  I mean really, it's the same Faye as in those first few strips - minus some of the insecurities and violent tendencies.

Personally, I'm perfectly happy to apply a willing suspension of disbeleif, and just appreciate the art for what it is!

Oh, I know.  I'm just pointing out that there's a certain futility in obsessing over the way the characters are drawn...
