Don't forget the ears going flat against his head (whereas they're pointed forward in 1 and 2).

Neither Karma, nor pecking order, just a simple fact: no matter how crazy or scary you are, there's something out there crazier and more frightening. And quite possibly ready to eat you. Cats know this better than we.

I'm trying to remember if that expression is really that different than the 'smile' Hanners gave the boy on the soda shop a few hundred years little while ago.
