Elden:
"When I was a kid I always imagined I'd be normal by now."

She was already my favourite character, but I identify with her even more now!

Can't wait till that OCDelightful shirt of hers is available, I wanted one so bad as soon as I first saw it.

westrim:
"When I was a kid I always imagined I'd be a normal cybernetic space princess on Mars by now."

Oh, Hanners, ye of small dreams. When I was a kid, I got all hung up on multiverse theory and decided I not only wanted to be a god, I WAS a god. Just, you know, not of this universe, but infinity-1 of others. That way, however sucky things got here, there was some universe where I ground-pounded the 9/11 hijackers just as they boarded their planes. Or honeycomb shielded Indonesia from the tsunami. Or prevented the massive death in Haiti. Wait...

But now xkcd has crushed those dreams.

I hate Randall now.

....

raoullefere:
Hanner's shirt—Shades of Jimmy Valmer! (South Park's resident "Handi-Capable" student).

I can relate: if I'd had my childhood wishes, things would be different—for one thing, I'd now be able to incinerate people at will with fireballs* (yes, without having to cart a flamethrower or napalm about).

*(Okay, so it was the Flames of the Faltine—whaddya expect when you put a Giant-Size Dr. Strange comic in the hands of a nine-year-old?)
