The boots are pretty good quality, I'd say, not top of the line, but I didn't find them in a trash can. And they fit pretty well, at least, they did when I had them in arizona.
Also this is something that has been happening since I was like 10 and my parents would always buy me hiking boots instead of goddamn sneakers.

Oh my god rage, so I told you guys about this prof I have so he is so stupid and there is a chance no one in this class is going to get credit for the course because he fucked up and didn't realize we're required to have an exam and holy shit.

are the blisters at the back of your feet, like above the heel? i get blisters there all the time when i wear boots. i find that when i put insoles in there it seems to solve the problem a good 95% of the time because it elevates my heel above the blister-y area and stops the chafing. you could try that i guess.
