Wow!
Sorkinian references in two separate threads simultaneously!

plus dancing is this.
Akima:
--- Quote from: Dliessmgg on 11 Feb 2010, 01:17 ---But it raises so many questions! How rich are his parents? If they're so super rich, why does he need a roomie? Why doesn't he have a fancier job?
--- End quote ---
Going to a private school doesn't necessarily mean your parents are rich. Indeed the fact that Angus refers to it as "One of those super-fancy prep schools for rich kids" suggests an outsider's viewpoint. Scholarship maybe? Or maybe just parents who, like many in the Chinese community here for example, were ready to sacrifice just about anything to pay for education. And if he was an "odd man out" at school, it might help explain his quirky personality, and later life choices.
nichidani:
i personally really like these past few strips. all i see is angus trying to push marigold out of her comfort zone, and at least sort of succeeding at it. i don't think he is being smarmy at all.
The Duke:

You say that like it's a good thing.
--- Quote from: jwhouk on 11 Feb 2010, 06:18 ---...he was suitably impressed when he met Stephen Colbert (the story of which he relayed back in #1423). That's actually closer to being a business honcho/politico than anything else...
--- End quote ---
Meeting Stephen Colbert is different than meeting, say, Rush Limbaugh, though.
The difference is the factor of AWESOME.
As in, Stephen Colbert is different from other pundits in that he is awesome.
