There's a relevant distinction between "I'm hurting" and "I'm stupid, ugly, fat, and pathetic".  Hannelore isn't saying "snap out of it", she is saying that she can't stand Marigold hating on herself.

I don't think Angus is only hanging out with Marigold out of pity.  I think he genuinely enjoys her company.  Just, he's one of those suburban/television raised kids who set their romantic expectations way higher than their league.

Wait, what?  Did you actually read these, in light of the characters?  INTP isn't even close for Marigold.  Just because she can fix a computer and is introverted does NOT make her INTP; She doesn't necessarily "value logic above all else".  She's proven (several times) that she doesn't make decisions based on reason, but rather fear (and other emotions).  The next to last paragraph is most telling;

This is SOOO not Marigold.  She's a fan (so much for independent, unconventional, and original); she values traditional notions of pretty and popular WAY too much for her own good; she's neither restless nor temperamental, but rather was reasonably content with her online life (until Angus started drawing her out).  It just doesn't fit!!!

I'm not going to take the time to refute the three you gave for Haners, but none of them fit any better.  There are a few minor points in some of them that work in her character, like controlling her environment, but not enough to classify her as any one of these types.  She is certainly not a "people person", as all of these suggest.  Perhaps she could be, but her mental illness and the distortions that it forces on her life prevent that.  Without the OCD issues, she may fall into one of those classes, but not the way she is now. 

I have to be honest, I have serious issues with real psychology.  And if I remember correctly, this Jungian classification system has been pretty well abandoned in practice, there are just too many personality types and too few boxes.  But damn, stop spreading half understood misinterpretations, alright? 

It might as well be fucking astrology!

Wow.  Way to take things waaaaay too seriously.  Myers-Briggs is pretty much the businessman's astrology chart, it's not supposed to tell you how your personality works in minute detail.  IIRC I took this test in a collegiate business class along with one which asked us to pick a personality trait based on the type of dessert we'd choose, given the option of 8.  ( I chose lemon meringue, FYI. )  They don't honestly mean jack shit since a piece of paper can't tell you how you make decisions in life, but since we're talking about personalities I thought I'd bring something interesting to the table instead of just hanging around with my dick out trying to figure out how best to pair the OCD girl with the shut-in one. 

But hey, if you disagree with my assessment of either Hannelore or Marigold, feel free to put yourself in their place and take the thing yourself.

I'm an INTJ...apparently if enough of us got together, we could take over and rule the world.  It's probably a good thing we're the rarest of the Myers-Briggs types and not prone to working with others.

Edit:  Ah shit...I just took the test for the hell of it and I came out as an INTP...wtf is wrong with me?? :?
