This was also me until about 23 (not 21, 23), so I get what you are saying. And really even now I only drink, like, if I have a couple people over and we are watching a movie or something... maybe one beer or so. The kids that are edge that are cool are the ones that don't really talk about it and maybe jokingly listen to throwdown (but only you dont have to be blood to be family and maybe haymaker). The rest are about as douchey as people who give enough of a shit to start threads about them on web forums.

I've always felt that the connection to original hardcore/emo music was just as important to being straight edge as well, but it seems I may be a minority in that respect.
