inconsistencies in tone, character, plot, et al. aside, gears of war was a really fun game to play in both iterations and i'll probably play through the third entry because if it's that fun why not

I'm surprised there haven't been more beards in Gears of War

I may not like the plot elements in the Gears of War series, but god damn if it isn't a fun game to play through.
