--- Quote from: Schmorgluck on 12 May 2010, 03:59 ---Also, it's very nice of Angus to be willing to put on hold any evolution of his relationship with Faye in order to protect Marigold's feelings. Made me go all "awwwwww".
--- End quote ---
I very much agree with this. ^_^ I mean, Angus and Faye should probably take things slow starting off anyway, but I like that he's taking Marigold's feelings into consideration, and that Faye seems to agree. MAJOR props to Angus for broaching the serious conversation with Faye while she's cleaning the sword! And yay for the return of Faye's blush -- good thing Dora didn't snuggle her from behind, or Faye's head might have exploded.
Oh, and jwhouk, OTP = one true pairing, as in "these two characters are totally meant to be together forever, you guys, omigod!"
Edited because I hate typos. -_-
Jander:
--- Quote from: jwhouk on 12 May 2010, 09:10 ---Do I really wanna look up what "OTP" means on UrbanDictionary.com?
--- End quote ---
OTP is fine, though OTPHJ stands for over the pants hand job
Is it cold in here?:

--- Quote from: Is it cold in here? on 11 May 2010, 23:27 ---She should get herself sequenced and go through it looking for errors one base pair at a time.
--- End quote ---
But what's she going to compare it to?
--- End quote ---
One option would be to count all the noncoding triplets and other anomalies and do a statistical analysis to compare the rate to the human average.
Another would be to take samples from both parents and make sure she is a first generation copy.
Does that sound like our Hannelore, though? The Hanneresque approach would be panic over every thymine dimer, incomplete protein coding, nonfunctional protein codiing, and incorporated retrovirus.
SleeperCylon:
I don't like it when characters manage to lame their way into a relationship. One of the many reasons I can't watch sitcoms.

--- Quote from: snubnose on 11 May 2010, 13:50 ---It was Faye in the past but she turned out to be too slutty. I'm not that conservative that I would judge her, but I'm conservative enough that I'm definitely turned off by such a behavior.
--- End quote ---
How is it possible to apply the fairly negative term "slutty" to anyone without judging them?
--- Quote from: snubnose on 11 May 2010, 15:25 ---I am free to be turned on and turned off by certain behavior patterns.
--- End quote ---
Certainly. But I don't see how you can do it without judging.
--- End quote ---
Err, I think you interpret my "I dont judge her" much too literally. I dont think any human being can be that free of judgement in the first place.
For we human beings judge all the time. This flower is beautiful and that one is ugly. This voice is nice and that one is nasty. I like this food and I hate that other food.
Same for people, this one is beautiful and that one isnt. This one is nice and that one really gets on my nerves.
So "I dont judge her" simply means: I dont APPROVE of her, but I TOLERATE her. Its her life, after all. Virtual, fictional life, of course.
--- End quote ---
Bullshit. "I don't judge her" means that you don't judge her. YOU have judged her, but you usually don't let your hate-dick out of your pants. Shut up and go away, hide behind a thin veil of lies about the semantics of your slut-shaming elsewhere.
