I find your assumptions very erotic, could you make a few more, I'm almost 'there', if you get my drift...
The creep for 'basic tip' from 10% to 15% is another thing that gets me.. that's not compensating for inflation, that's plain greed.

Among the many reasons I avoid using services where the providers "expect" tips is the implicit extortion. The hovering threat of: "I know you've paid the asking price for your <service>, but if you don't pay me a tip over and above that, expect me to drag my feet, give you a lousy table, spit in your food etc." That probably says as much about my personality as that of anyone working in, for example, the food delivery industry, but plenty of people I've met who work in "tip" jobs relish telling stories about how they "punish" customers who don't tip "enough".
I work providing IT services to the medical industry. I think I should receive tips for my work in addition to my salary. I mean, you wouldn't want your medical records to get lost would you? Or switched with someone else's? Thank you... What, only 15%!? <type> <type> <type> :evil: :angel: Not really funny actually, there are plenty of places where you do have to tip your doctor, nurses etc.
