Some men, too, with similar attendant problems if things aren't mutual. Recall Ferris's comment about Cameron's fate in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
--- Quote ---Cameron has never been in love - at least, nobody's ever been in love with him. If things don't change for him, he's gonna marry the first girl he lays, and she's gonna treat him like shit, because she will have given him what he has built up in his mind as the end-all, be-all of human existence. She won't respect him, 'cause you can't respect somebody who kisses your ass. It just doesn't work.
--- End quote ---
Admittedly, Ferris is a cynic.

Plus, Dora & Faye would inflict major damage and derision upon him, for taking advantage. Really, the power balance is almost totally one-sided, unfair.

Which, of course, means we're pretty much guaranteed Sven/Marigold. But this time, with Marigold as the pursuer and Sven as the reluctant pursuee.

All I gotta say is..
*que eastern europe accent mixed with italian* "Ey Miko, my cousin! Welcome ! You wanna dem big American titties?"

--- Quote from: Mr_Rose on 31 May 2010, 12:39 ---I'm not sure that's actually possible without breaking Conservation of Narrativium, however she definitely needs to wear her hair down and behind her ears more. Her normal hide-behind-the-fringe thing doesn't do anything for her and the twin ponytails thing makes her look like she's trying to look twelve.
--- End quote ---
Seriously. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just one ponytail, but whenever she's drawn with large pigtails this is all I see:
(And now you can't unsee it either)
EDIT: Screw it, I'm making my own "not-childish Marigold hairstyle" QC edits. (With blackjack! And hookers!)

--- Quote from: CEOIII on 31 May 2010, 11:57 ---What Mari needs is someone to screw her brains out, just so she can get that "So......that's sex. OK, not bad, now let's see what actual people are out there" moment that everyone gets after their first time goes down.
--- End quote ---
Forgive me for the assumption, but I'd be willing to wager you're probably of the male persuasion.
--- End quote ---
That's a wager you'd win.
--- Quote from: emikoala on 31 May 2010, 14:14 ---This reaction is not typical among the female persuasion. A young lady is far more likely to fall hopelessly, blindly in love with the first man she gives her flower to than to suddenly become nonchalant about sex once getting it out of the way. Sex causes a lot of intense emotions in a lady that she has never felt before!
--- End quote ---
And Mari NEEDS to feel them. Even if she does start writing flowery poetry and planning a wedding after her first time, remember, she's got Dora and Faye, ready to kick all of the living (and 80-90% of the dead) shit out of her first time if that guy starts treating her like an unwanted dog. She needs to get screwed, then possibly screwed over, so she can move on.
