Arrgh.

It drives me insane when my wife uses that.
I know she means something, and I can guess about a dozen possible meanings, but none of them are ever what she really means.

Only slightly less annoying than when she ends an argument with "well, do whatever you want. I don't give a damn".
Which I have learned really means "if you don't do what I want and pretend you're doing it of your own volition, you''ll be sorry"

Could it be that Jeph has developed a new relationship trope?  The "OK, we'll try this, but it probably won't work"? 

Maybe not.  I think this may be the tail end of the sass-back relationship they had rearing its ugly head and biting them in the butt. 

Because now, it's personal.
