I actually think that's a typo. But just in case, I fixed it.

Yup, thanks.

I think that's called 'bad advice.'

Advice comes from all corners, solicited or not, good and bad (and ugly).  Only some of it stems from wisdom (usually the good stuff), and it's frequently unsolicited, and unrecognized until much later.

Surely you've had a "that (crazy) old dude was right!" moment at some time in you life.  I've had a few.  And I'm getting to the point where I can be on the other side of those moments now.

The only problem is that when you pass on your wisdom, nobody listens... they only realize you're right later on.  And then you can't say,

"I told ya so!"

raoullefere:
Not as often as I've had the opposite experience. Of course, the cod in question was often my grandfather, and he thought his father, something of a civil war holdout, had all the answers, so that may explain some of that.

His favorite aphorism was: "If I tell you a rooster dips snuff, you better look under his wing." I never pointed out the physiological barriers to this.

So, Marten vs. Angus is...

disappointing, at best.

And probably a draw.  Not that anyone cares.

At least until Dora and/or Faye grab(s) each of them by the ear and/or smacks them on the back of the head and tell(s) them to act like grown ups...

*twist*Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! *smack*
