Or maybe you're descended from Qin Shi Huang. Baby gladiators seem more like his sort of thing (at least before people started revising him). Not that I can say much, as it was my favorite part, too—but my ancestor who enjoyed suchlike is both far less well-known and of much more recent vintage.

Yeah, Rippy is a recurring "filler" character in SP, much like Yelling Bird is in QC. He also appears in spin-off strips. Like this one:

I think Rippy's hilarious. I fully expect non-SP readers to not enjoy today's guest strip, though. It's pretty inside baseball.
... SP is fun times, though.
