Or maybe it's because now she has friends she's more inclined to look after her skin? I don't think her character will ever go "full sexy".

Almost.
Anyway, as I recall, it would be Dale's friends collectively ganking her.
Also, unless he plays, I can't help thinking Angus, lucky or not, would be more likely to get Marigold's character killed.
