For a donation, she doesn't need to steal Marten, just one of the condoms. Unless she actually wants Marten....

All depends on how devious Hannelore actually is. I mean, after all, it's totally possible that the real Hannelore is just like her mother and she's just deviously playing off the whole innocent and cutesy look for the sympathy and the harmless aura it gives her! (Not truly serious about this... at least... not much) More to the point, knowing the crew, they probably just pointed out to her that the genetic tests were not a "normal" thing to do, and that she shouldn't be doing that sort of thing. The cast does tend to walk a little bit on eggshells around Hannelore, giving her the benefit of the doubt more often than not. She's everyone's favorite little kid sister that gets away with (could be literally) murder!

Wait, what was the point again? Having children is usually more than just propagating your genetic material. And I think Hanners may actually suspect some of her problems are genetic.
Maybe she wanted an example of the DNA of a well balanced person just for the sake of comparison to her own...
