Dude is actually stopping by my podunk town as part of his farewell tour! Not that I've listened to a lick of his music but hey it should be a fun show.

I dunno, he's one of those songwriters whose fans have a very personal relationship to his songs. I kinda feel like if you're not familiar with his disocgraphy you're probably not going to get a lot out of it.
Plus, not knowing anything about where you live, is the show likely to be sold out? Bear in mind that there are people out there for whom it will seemingly vitally important to attend this show, it being a farewell and all. If the show's going to sell out and people are going to be desperately disappointed at having missed it, maybe you shouldn't go!

People will probably be coming in from the surrounding area, yeah. But considering that I do sound sorta regularly for the venue in question (until my car ate shit) I'll probably be behind the soundboard anyway.

But what if a fan wants to do sound at the show, hmm? Did you even think of that?!
