Guitar gear: Future classics?
Patrick:
--- Quote from: PintsizesBloodyCock on 07 Nov 2010, 17:17 ---I'd imagine some of Godin's finer models will become very well-regarded in 20 years, now that they're finally making an aesthetically pleasing guitar.

I am so glad somebody said this because I completely forgot to. They make a singlecut hollowbody with P-90s and a 3-way toggle (positioned very much like a Les Paul's) that completely. Fucking. SLAYS.
See also: the brands that fall under their umbrella (Art & Lutherie, Simon & Patrick, Seagull, some other shit I forgot) and the acoustics made by them.

5th Avenue is what you're looking for, Patrick. I played the non-cutaway version with a single P90 in the neck in a store.
The blues, man. That guitar is just pure blues.
Melodic:
The only thing stopping Godins from being more popular is that I've seen their price jump 20% when they cross the border. Poor American fucks.
valley_parade:
I think their single-cutaway model is kind of awkward looking, too.

If my former '78 Diamond ET-240 didn't have a wobbly-ass neck I'd agree with you.
