Nah, it's not even that many pics, and they're not huge. It shouldn't be a problem to anyone with a connection above 56k

I'm not sure you can even buy dial-up connections from ISPs in the UK anymore.

Scanners aren't necessarily the best anyway, but it helps having something better than a webcam. I like your portraits the best but that's just me.
