This explanation, while interesting, seems too pat to me. I mean, there is a well established preference for hairless bodies in classic paintings of nudes.

(okay, I have no knowledge of arts whatsoever, but it seems like logic, right?)

Fuck painting/drawing leg hair. If ladies never shaved, it would be so fine that most wouldn't even notice from a distance. (Except for you hairy people who were just born with it.) I never ever draw leg hair.
