Yeah. Most of the older posters know it, but it may not have been brought up lately. Pretty much, Jeph has repeatedly commented on how he despises the QC Discussion section of the forum and most of the stuff that gets posted there. He's threatened to just delete the forum multiple times when he's sick of people taking QC too seriously. If this seems like an exaggeration, just read the description of the QC Discussion section from the main forum page.
This being the case, he found it pretty darn amusing when it got bad enough when someone who doesn't share his hatred for the place got fed up enough to lock the thread.
*edit- also yeah he only comes in here when he's drunk so there's that.
