Successfully clipped one piggie's nails and will quit while I'm ahead because the other piggie can be a little bollock during nail clipping. Richie was actually licking me and happily wheeking while getting his nails clipped which was a lovely change of pace.

A dear friend of ours lost her schnoodle today, at the age of 8. Semper was diabetic (the dog, not the friend) and blind. She had stopped eating a few days ago and her blood sugar was out of control.
She had been her dad's dog, his final companion. Her dad passed away 4 years ago, an ex marine, which is why the dog's name was Semper Fi. It was the last living connection she had with her dad, and that made it even harder.
