Mom, my siblings and I went to my aunt's girlfriend's cabin today to see an area of the country we've never been before (Hvaler), and we got to hang out with their dog, she's the cuuutest! And she loves water, no matter how freezing it is!

Thanks! I didn't know it would turn out so well since it was super bright outside and I could barely see my screen, but I think it turned out pretty well. Also I got soaked about two seconds after the photo was taken...

Pixie got spayed today. Rang the vet and they said surgery went well and now she's on painkillers and very sleepy. Bought her a bed for her to come home to when I pick her up tomorrow.

Pixie is home and doing well. Just need to watch for her licking her stitches. She didn't get a cone of shame because she wasn't licking them at the vet's but she seems to be trying a little now.

For some years I ran house heating from bottled gas (the tall bottles, of course, not those little dumpy ones). It was no more inconvenient than oil (which I also had in the distant past), and cleaner to deal with.

I think if I ever moved into a house without piped gas I would have to get bottled for cooking. The thought of cooking on electric makes me queasy. I'm going to ask if I can get a wok ring. I'm going to be told that I can't.

Hedgehogs! They're not pets of course, but they live in our garden! There's at least one more as well, they're adorable and they make the cutest sniffing noises when searching for food.

Pixie has fleas, again. We thought we were rid of them and we definitely were for a while because she didn't have any at her last vet check. Feel like I got an STI informing other dog owners I know because was around them recently and I'd feel awful if we passed them on to anyone else. More likely I'm just gonna make them paranoid over nothing. In the process of washing everything so hopefully we'll be free of them soon.

Now I'm itchy thinking about these fuckers.
