Bluesummers:
I would post something in response, but there's a cat tail over half of the keyboard and it keeps whacking my hands. The cat it's attached to is giving me "the look".

BeoPuppy:
So, my bunny, Polonius, had to go to the vet yesterday. Inflammation. At 13, I fully expected him to not come out alive because, you know, quality of life yada yada yada ...

Turns out, the old fucker is still ticking over wonderfully! Yay!

Aethien:
13, that's impressive.

I know my little sister's rabbits never lasted more than 3 years or so.

BeoPuppy:
It's pretty astonishing, really. We got him from a shelter when he was 8. We figured we could give him a happy old age. As it turns out, the old age is so happy that he never ever wants to give up.

jwhouk:
Having a 17-year-old cat can be incredibly satisfying and incredibly frustrating all at once.

Is there a test somewhere as to how you can tell if your cat is getting forgetful?
