American Top Gear
SilentJ:
Considering the ratings the original show gets on BBC America, I find myself at a loss thinking of reasons this show is necessary.

I've seen a fair bit of Stewart Lee love around here. Is he always that patronising?
KvP:
Hmm, it's like a british David Cross politely ranting about a british Larry the Cable Guy.
I like it!

That's basically his act, yes. In fact, it's basically the genre of comedy he belongs to, 'Alternative comedy', we call it in the UK. Look up, say, Alexi Sayle or Ben Elton before either of them went shit for further examples.
EDIT: Jeremy Clarkson is, in fact, a cunt. I think James May is like a nice eccentric uncle though. Also, I do watch Top Gear sometimes when it's on, but mostly for the cinematography.
Seriously, it's got to be one of the best shot TV series in history.
Inlander:
It's not really the liberal high-horse bit I found off-putting (I mean god, I've voted Green at two separate elections this year), rather the way he kept telling the audience why they liked Top Gear. I'm happy for a guy to tell me why Jeremy Clarkson's an arsehole but the moment that guy starts telling me why I do what I do or watch what I watch or enjoy what I enjoy I start to feel like he's a bit of a condescending prick.
