It's not so much that Hollywood has high standards, it's more that they have extraordinarily homogenised standards, and anyone who deviates by even the slightest degree from what is accepted physical perfection in Hollywood is relegated to the back-blocks regardless of how attractive they actually are.

I can agree with that. It's kinda like how Sofia Vergara dyes her hair black in the US just because that's pretty much what's expected of a Columbian model/actress.
