Professor Snuggles:
True Grit - Spoilers - Spoilers

Read this post the other night. Admittedly, I come to the QC forums expecting to read posts that I dislike, and I almost always do. I also dislike this subforum, and unobtrusive posters, so this seemed like a lose/lose as far as a post I'd enjoy goes, and I didn't. The combination of hackneyed praise and attempts at high level vocabulary left me cold off the bat, and the way the post revealed obvious points stole thunder from the complete lack of value of the opinions, which says a lot about the thread IMO. The upside was that the OP's ignorance of a genre he claimed to love was humorous. We know that anyone who has watched a lot of films like the John Wayne movie this is a pseudo-remake of knows better than to expect a lot of narrative significance, so the OP's complaint about such an obvious thing is hilarious. Still, if laughing at someone's poor boarding is the best you can get, that's pathetic. My favorite part was at the end where SonofZ3 just does the blatant 5th grade review thing of listing his favorite part while attempting to mask his clear lack of knowledge about the genre as whole by making a terrible observation and using words like "surreal" and "delirium."

Dazed:
Just fyi, you're being an asshole. Feel free to stop being an asshole.

Johnny C:
yeah kieffer ease up, dude – lead by example w/r/t posts

SonofZ3:
You forgot the Tarantino reference. Other than that, you really nailed the condescneding rant by a douchebag film "buff" post.

Professor Snuggles:
Sorry guys I'll be nicer.

This movie was really good, huh.

My friend thinks the ending was kinda overblown but the shot at the very end of her walking away, one armed in the snow seemed pretty awesome to me.

Thoughts?
