Wink Wink 2011 - A bit of a change this year

First up, here is a link to the old thread: http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,27585.0.html

--- Quote ---Rules:
The first rule of this thread is you do not mention MF. I am doing this because we are currently the first hit for the full version of "MF thread" on Google, so y'know, that's bad n' shit.
No hot-linking images or albums. You can re-host images at http://imageshack.us.
Ensure your tags are correct and that you have specified both Artist/Album in your post.
Upload your files in either a .zip or a .rar archive to MF, in multiple parts if the album is over 200mb. The reason for this is that we know MF is safe and efficient and allows multiple downloads. The ads on other sites, such as Sendspace, are known to contain viruses on the page. Get yourself checked out.
Post your link using code tags. It's the # icon above the policeman emoticon. This prevents the links from being traced back to the forums, lowering the chance that the wrong people notice the thread, potentially threatening Jeph with legal action.
Also, please do NOT request albums. This includes requests for re-uploads; if you miss it, try looking for it somewhere else.
Repost the rules at the top of each new page.
--- End quote ---
If you type MF in full, the forum displays M/F instead. Not sure if it'll help, but hey, it's worth a try, right?

Continuing from the 2010 thread...
Love was one of the early interracial rock bands. They would have made it big if they toured outside of SoCal. They also helped a little known local band called The Doors get a record deal. :-)
Is using the term "interracial" racist?
Orcusmars:
Oh no I wasn't saying the use of "mixed race" is inherently racist, I was merely expressing that the usage often puts people off because of its common usage as hate speech by racists. Interracial is definitely a better way of putting it, simply because it avoids that association. Neither term is racist - it's all in the usage and context.
PS Love is pretty damn amazing
pinkpiche:
Honestly, if either of you believe that their race have anything to do with how good the music is or how much it should be appreciated, then I can't help you.
Johnny C:
wellllllll i'm not sure about that because the cultural context is probably pretty significant? everyone tends to forget that music was segregated, up to a point; in the 1950s there were literally black music stations and white music stations. so black and white people actually coming together to make music is something that, for popular music, was particularly rare, and likely would have combined some radically different musical background. which is part of why love was so impressive.
