I have had coffee from a number of these things (the Keurig one that Sean posted, as well as the Nespresso, and maybe another one or two) and every one of them makes coffee that, in my opinion, ranges from grotesque to halfway decent.
If you are not super enthused with the taste of real coffee and/or you only really drink it for the caffeine, then I guess these machines make sense. But I think the coffee out of my Moka pot, made with freshly ground beans, is vastly superior.
(But before I got the Moka pot, I made a single cup of drip coffee every morning and it was not a big deal at all.)
Lunchbox:
I went for an interview to work at a Nespresso shop once. I was a fully qualified barista. They said I didn't have enough retail experience. Blow you guys. I bet your coffee tastes like shit anyway.

I drink instant coffee. you know, the granulated shit that comes in a can.
